The NTS CD:Seek 4046 is An Intelligent Alternative to Searching, Retrieval, Viewing, Annotating, Printing and Emailing images captured with the new revolutionary Canon CD-4046 Digital Document Recorder.
The NTS CD:Seek 4046 is a full 32-Bit Object Oriented application running under Windows 95 / 98 and Windows NT. The program uses the NTS 4046 Wizard to extract images and data information stored on the Canon CD-4046 CD.
Images are extracted in its native form as either a Multi-Page TIFF document, or as a group of Single-Page TIFF images composing a document.
The NTS CD:Seek database is created from the Cabinets Name (Folder name on the CD), and the Key Words that is embedded in the Canon CD-4046 long file names.
When a document has been retrieved, the individual TIFF pages can be annotated using the NTS CD:Seek 4046 annotation tool. The annotation tool includes the following functions: Freehand writing - Highlighting - Drawing straight lines - Creating hollow and filled rectangles - Attach-a-note - Typing text - Rubber stamping.
The NTS CD:Seek application gives you the option to be customized to your clients needs, including personalized splash screen (with company name and logo).
The NTS CD:Seek makes the Canon CD-40046 Digital Document Recorder's images searchable.
The NTS 4046 Wizard that is included with the NTS CD:Seek product is utilizing the Wizard Technology found in many of the new product running under the Windows 95 / 98 and NT environments.
The wizard can be used with the NTS CD:Seek program, or as a stand-alone tool to extract data information from the Canon CD-4046 CD. This information can then be imported to another imaging system like: OTG Application Extender - Alos DocuWare -- Westbrook FileMagic.
The Wizards To Do List will guide the user through three easy steps: Output Type; OLE to CD:Seek, Comma ASCII delimited control file, Record Out file format, or OLE to Microsoft Excel - Where to save the control file - Design file layout.
The Microsoft Excel was included to give the user an option to reformat the output created by the Wizard. Any format can be creating with a Macro executed inside the Excel spreadsheet. This way we know for sure that the output from the Wizard will work with any control format need to work you imaging system.
Some Images system can not handle long file name, like the ones that the Canon CD-4046 creates. The NTS 4046 Wizard has the option to create control files with short or long folder-/file- names and thereby solving that issue.
