DeCaf:Net Product Page Producer HQL Converter HQL Kernel Verbs DeCaf:Net the poor mans solution to the world of the web. The goal is to create a no-server web page producer and maintains tool that is Windows Office centric. This means that you should be able to create one web page or a group of web pages with minimum HTML coding. Each page will have unique code (in this case HQL) what will be converted to HTML code like PHP would be in a server-oriented setup. The HQL language should be easy to expand so it will be easy for a programmer to add more functionality (Verbs) to the language without having to re-compile the core code. This is done via the Verb DLL’s. We have selected to create four types of Verbs: Text oriented (Include & CSV). Word oriented (Full Word documents or paragraphs in a Word document). Excel oriented (Full worksheet or unique cell). Web page looks and fell (Menu to ensure that we can move from page to page). Note: We have not done anything regarding database / SQL yet, but it is planned as the project grows – any ideas are like always welcome. If a Verbs is not producing your type of HTML code it can be replaced with one that can without changing the core code. The overall goal is currently been meat via a group of programs under the DeCaf:Net concept: The NTS Page Producer Wizard, The HQL Converter, The HQL Kernel a COM Server, and a group of Verb DLL’s. The HQL Kernel COM Server is using the group of Verbs to covert the HQL files to HTML files. The HQL Converter is using the HQL Kernel COM Server for the "real" conversion. The current version of the NTS Page Producer Wizard creates the basic HQL pages per a Structure file (the layout of the web site) using a HQL template (a basic web page). The Wizard will in the future also be able to convert the HQL pages to HTML pages. All we need to do is making the Wizard using the HQL Kernel COM Server like the HQL Converter. When the Page Producer has created the basic web pages for the web site the user can edit the HQL pages or leave them alone before the conversion from HQL to HTML is done.
